Long Island Enters Phase 2 – What Does That Mean for 4GK Martial Arts?
The building may have been closed for the past 3 months but the team has been busy!
Our countdown to reopening began on Monday!
The team has started our in-house prep to be able to re-open in July, right after Independence Day.
If everything stays on track, we will enter Phase 4 on July 8th, which means we will be able to welcome everyone back.
We have a phased reopening plan that looks like this:
Week -4 (4 weeks before opening): The team will be on-site for training on new procedures.
Week -3 (3 weeks before opening): Team begins broadcasting limited Zoom martial arts classes from the school while also running mock classes to adjust to the new procedures and to show the kids forward momentum.
Week -2 (2 weeks before opening): All Zoom classes will be broadcast from the school while also running mock classes to simulate on-site students
Week -1 (1 week before opening): Closed for the week of Independence Day to deep clean the school and do final prep.
Week +1 (1 week after opening): Current members will be allowed back to class. Zoom will continue to be available for those who prefer to remain at home
Week +2 (2 weeks after opening): on-hold members will be invited back as space allows; we foresee occupancy restrictions, but these have yet to be defined by the state.
Week +3 (3 weeks after opening): we will begin accepting new members as space allows.
August 1st: Grand Re-opening event.
Of course, this is all dependent on the state of “things”, and we may be able to move this up or have to push it back based on direction from the powers that be.
